Do you know that elephants play soccer?
Do you know that many elephants are trained by professional care taker to play soccer? Yes, it is the truth. In Northeastern Thailand, especially Surin Province, elephants are trained to play soccer to entertain tourists. Why? Because these elephants have no other job. They were used to pulling logs in the past and now log harvesting are banned. So, in order to keep elephant occupied and to produce income for the villagers the government came up with the idea of Hugh Kick off show. I even heard that sometimes, the elephants play against human. Hmmm.. I wonder, who won the game! |
